Training Week 11

Of all the weeks I’ve experienced in my training so far, none was this rough. I’m not sure, but I think I over trained the week before. Every single run I had this week felt awful. I felt tired, my legs were heavy, and I just wasn’t there mentally. My mileage fell dramatically this week, and I was very disappointed in myself.

Monday March 18th

  • 3.2 miles
  • 11:26 average pace
  • 4/2 intervals

Thursday March 21st

  • 3.13 miles
  • 12:05 average pace
  • 4/2 intervals

Friday March 22nd

  • 6.02 miles
  • 13:19 average pace
  • 4/2 intervals

This week was one that you just want to pretend never happened. Having 3 bad runs in a row is really discouraging. Especially when it’s the week of your birthday! I hope that going forward I don’t get a repeat of this week, and I am really going to try and stop being so negative about it.
