Training Week 10

This week I knew I had my first two races of the year this weekend so I wanted to get my long run in earlier in the week. I also wanted to make sure I'd be prepared to run my two races back to back so I made sure to run the day before my long run. These past few weeks I've really struggled with my long runs. As the numbers gradually went up, my confidence in my ability to run them went down. Each long run day I would doubt myself and really be nervous leading up to my run. Some of the runs would really turn out great, and others were a real struggle. When you spend this long amount of time training for something, you experience these highs and lows. One day I feel like I'm crushing it and the next, I feel like I should give up and quit. It's been two years since my last half marathon and I'm really hoping I'll be prepared this time. 

I only did two training runs because I really didn't want to overdue it.

Slow and Easy Run

  • 3.5 miles
  • 3/2 intervals
  • 13:00 min pace

Long Run

  • 10.03 miles
  • 4/2 intervals
  • 12:46 min pace
